Episode 169

Your Inner Child In The Sacral Chakra

This piece came through with such clarity. There’s often a missing layer in how we relate to our business, especially when we look at it only through adult logic, strategy, and output. But if your business was birthed from your energy, then of course it holds layers of you. That includes the inner child. And that child lives most vividly in the sacral chakra, where creativity, expression, and emotional presence live.

In this piece, I explore how tuning into the inner child of your business can shift your connection entirely. Not as a mindset trick or tool for more productivity, but as a genuine relationship that brings life, softness, and playful guidance to the heart of your work. These are not just ideas. They are invitations to slow down, reflect, and lead from truth.

Listening to the inner child of your business

You don’t have to imagine your business as purely a system. It has energetic layers. It holds emotions, patterns, and even its own rhythm. And like you, it has an inner child. This doesn’t mean your business is immature. It means there’s a part of it that’s tender, imaginative, and full of creative insight—if you’re willing to listen.

Often, that inner child will reveal what it really wants through gentle nudges. You may feel a sudden urge to play, to shift direction, to simplify. These aren’t random distractions, they’re often communications. Your role is to notice and respond. Not to shut them down with logic, but to meet them with curiosity.

Children often say the most surprising, wise, or hilarious things when we slow down and listen. That same magic lives inside the energetic blueprint of your business. You just need to tune in and ask: What do you want me to know today?

Creative expression and the sacral chakra

The sacral chakra isn’t only about emotions or sensuality, it’s the seat of creativity, joy, and inner freedom. It’s where your business’s creative pulse can be felt. When the inner child is supported here, your business naturally becomes more fluid, more expressive, and more sustainable.

This doesn’t mean you need to launch a new creative project. It might be as simple as giving your business some space to play.

  • What would your business’s inner child do if it had a whole afternoon to itself?

  • Would it draw, move, dance, cook, explore?

  • What kind of play would it be craving?

You can hold this energetically. You can imagine it and allow it to unfold. This is not about acting childish. It’s about restoring joy and presence to a part of your business that might have been made overly serious. Play opens channels. It allows new ideas, softer energy, and intuitive action to emerge more freely.

Communicating with your business’s energy

When we don’t feel clear about how to move forward in business, we often look for strategy, feedback, or advice. And while those things can help, sometimes what’s actually missing is communication. Not with your audience or team, but with your own business energy.

When was the last time you checked in with your business like it was an ally? Or asked the inner child within it how it was feeling?

Start there. Start with presence. With curiosity. Let go of needing a big answer. Just ask.

This kind of relationship doesn’t look linear. You might get a word, a symbol, a feeling. You might get nothing at first, and then later, a flood of insight. But the more you listen, the clearer the connection becomes. This isn’t about control. It’s about co-creation.

Passion and intuitive direction

Children are bold about their desires. They say things like, “I want to be an astronaut,” or “I’m going to invent something amazing.” They don’t edit or justify their dreams. The inner child within your business might have that same spark, if you give it space to speak.

Ask yourself: What does the business want to become as it grows? What’s it curious about? What would feel exciting, even if it doesn’t make sense yet?

And don’t forget that the inner child is often deeply intuitive. It might offer perspectives or directions that seem “out there” or too imaginative. These can be the very nudges that bring your next chapter forward. You don’t need to have every step mapped out. Sometimes, you just need to trust the first whisper.

Final reflections

The inner child of your business isn’t something you need to fix or develop. It’s something you’re invited to remember. To listen to. To include.

This part of your business holds your business’s earliest energy, its curiosity, courage, and creativity. It holds the essence of why you started your business. And it may also hold the clues to where you and your business are meant to go next.

Wherever this meets you, may it bring you closer to the joy, truth, and spirit within your work. Let it be soft. Let it be playful. Let it be yours.
